Petras Lukosius
I carry Petras Lukosius because there isn't another oil painter in the gallery working in cubism — geometric ships and harbors instead of straight realism, a dark palette that still reads as beautiful rather than gloomy.

Petras Lukosius

Trained in Lithuania, shown across Europe
Lukosius was born in 1956 in Lithuania. He started at the Klaipėda Children's Art School at fourteen, in 1970, moved on to Telšiai Applied Arts Technical School, and graduated in 1979 from the Klaipėda branch of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. He began showing in national exhibitions as a teenager, in 1971, and internationally starting in 1982. He's a member of the Lithuanian Artist Union and has held solo shows in Germany, England, Spain, Sweden, Russia, Norway, Latvia, and here in the United States. His subjects run to ships, harbors, and nature, occasionally a city block, all worked in oil on canvas.
What's here now
The ten paintings in this collection split by subject: five are boats or harbor scenes, four are nature, one is a city view. They come in two sizes — 30 by 40 (or 40 by 30) inches at $4,275, and 36 by 48 (or 48 by 36) at $4,750 — five paintings at each price. Every one of the ten is down to its last copy: these are originals, not a print run, so what's listed is what exists. All ten sit in the same $2,500–$5,000 price tier — there's no entry-level Lukosius here and no six-figure one, just this range.
If you're deciding between the two sizes for a specific wall, call us — we can tell you which of the ten is still available before you order.
